Whistler Blackcomb is gearing up as the alpine gets ready to welcome over 25 cm of fresh snowfall on top of the 256 cm already accumulated this season, the company said in a press release.
With this weather event, more powder days are just around the corner. Whistler Blackcomb has announced expanded terrain openings across both mountains: Peak Chair on Whistler will open today, a day earlier than planned, followed by 7th Heaven on Blackcomb this Friday.
“Legendary runs like The Saddle, Peak to Creek, Xhiggy’s Meadow, and Hugh’s Heaven await, bringing the total acres of skiable terrain to an impressive 5,500 across both mountains,” the company said in a press release.
As terrain expansion continues, Whistler Blackcomb wants to remind guests that early-season conditions persist. Delays in opening 7th Heaven and Peak Express may occur as the Patrol team works diligently to ensure the highest safety standards for all visitors. Guests are encouraged to ski and ride with a buddy and follow all posted signage.
Whistler Blackcomb Ski Patrol is also available to help and answer guests’ questions.
