If you are wondering if there is snow in Whistler, Whistler Blackcomb has the answer. Whistler Blackcomb received 28 centimetres of new snow over the past 24 hours, with coverage reaching down to the village, according to a press note from the resort.
The snowfall and forecasted snowmaking conditions will contribute to preparations for the November 22 opening. A temporary break in snowfall is expected for the remainder of the week, with the potential for more snow beginning Friday afternoon. According to Whistler Blackcomb, a storm cycle forecast for the week of November 11 could bring additional snowfall to the area.
The resort anticipates having at least 187 skiable acres ready for opening day across both mountains, possibly adding additional terrain if conditions allow.
The resort reminds that Epic Passes, which offer various access levels to Whistler Blackcomb, are currently on sale. Prices are set to rise on November 17, with details available on whistlerblackcomb.com and epicpass.com.
