Solid waste tipping fees at the Waste Transfer Station have increased, effective January 1, 2023.
“The changes encourage the public and businesses, particularly those generating large amounts of waste, to recycle when possible and reduce the amount of waste sent to the landfill,” says RMOW. “The new fees have been developed with care, to not encourage illegal dumping or waste being disposed of in other communities.”

The transfer station is open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily, and is busiest from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. RMOW is advising residents to visit the station outside of these hours to decrease wait times.
There is a minimum charge of $5 per vehicle disposing of materials at the Waste Transfer Station with the exception of any material or item indicated as free. Tip material must be under 2.5 m in length.
