Lillooet RCMP are investigating two incidents of fraud in the community.
On September 27, a woman reported that someone had taken $10,000 out of her debit account. The woman had already reported to her bank and had no details into how her account was accessed.
The funds appeared to have been transferred to an unspecified Capital One credit card account.
A similar incident happened on September 27, when a woman reported that her bank called her about a suspicious e-transfer out of her account for $2,788 to an unknown person.
The woman also received over 6000 emails that same day. The woman had no further information.
Firearms stolen
On September 26, a complainant reported a break and enter at their residence located outside of Lillooet. Two firearms were stolen; Remington 783 bolt action rifle with a leupold scope, and a Harrington and Richards break action .22cal rifle.

Large black bear
On September 26 at 12 pm, conservation officers reported a large black beer on the trail behind the Lillooet Secondary School. Police attended with conservation and a foot patrol was conducted but a bear was not located.
